In a story that I guarantee will make your heart melt ten times over, two great dane best friends have just found a happy home. That's not the best part of the story, though: Apparently one of the dogs was struck by a rare condition that caused her to be blind beyond repair. Lily, the blind great dane, is now six years old but she's actually had a pretty normal life–thanks to 7-year-old Maddison, her faithful great dane companion who has been her inseparable guide dog ever since Lily lost her sight as a puppy.

The story of the two great dane friends is the most touching things I've ever read. It's just simply amazing how Maddison takes care of Lily, guiding her by actually holding Lily's leash and leading her around safely. And since Lily's other senses are heightened, she can often tell when her buddy is nearby without them touching.
Well, one good samaritan couple have decided to adopt both of them after reading their story in the Daily Mail. The two dogs are now set to live with 52-year-old Anne Williams her 53-year-old husband Len, who adopted the canine companions from the Dogs Trust centre in the UK after their previous owner couldn't care for them anymore.

I'm just SO incredibly happy for these two dogs. They're so unbelievably sweet, how can you stand it? One dog being the guide dog for another dog? My heart just melts, seriously. Plus now they get a happy ending! Just how great is that? It's enough to make me go AWWWW until I turn blue.
