The surprising reason you should always weigh yourself on Fridays

I have the best Friday news for you ever and just one more reason to TGIF! First of all, I want to say that if you plan on weighing yourself at all during the week, the best time to do it is Friday morning. Unless you have some overwhelming need to weigh yourself any other time during the week, don't. Don't weigh yourself every day or every hour or after every bowel movement (oh come on, you know you've done it). Just wait until Friday and then gleefully step on that scale when you wake up. Yes, baby! Strip down, step on, and take a gander, you may be pleasantly surprised. Why? Because it is the skinniest you will be all week! Say what?!

I love it! A new report came out that found that for people who are either maintaining their weight or losing weight, Friday mornings is when they weighed the least all week. Very interesting.

It could be because during the week we tend to have a routine down and stick to it, so when Friday morn' rolls around, we have a week's worth of our best eating behind us.

Guess when the people that were studied were the heaviest? On Sunday and Monday and I don't think it's because they are all Catholics who went to church and got fat off communion wafers. No, it probably has to do with a more relaxed eating attitude during the weekend.

I'm so bummed I didn't get a chance to weigh myself this Friday morning, now I'm going to have to wait until next Friday. Can't wait to see how skinny I am!
