For some time now I've been looking for a way to lose a few pounds. And of course those efforts have lead me to some pretty interesting flavors, some of which are pretty hard to stick to. The process can be quite discouraging, true. And at times, I've almost given up entirely on ever trying anything new out there.
I have been pleasantly surprised by the varitey of juices, shakes and smoothies that are a perfectly healthy compliment to a well balanced diet. I love this smoothie not only because of the natural flavors that make it easy to drink, but also because in my chaotic life a recipe ready in 5 minutes or less is a much welcomed luxury. So, give it a try and let me know how much you like it!
Celery and green apple smoothie
Good enought for one smoothie
1 cup of water
1 slice of fresh pinnapple
1 celery stick
1/2 Granny Smith apple
1 teaspoon of 100 % natural honey
1 cup of ice
Directions:
1. Mix all the ingredients (except for the ice) in an electric blender. Strain the mixture.
2. Return liquid to the blender. Add ice and blend again.
