I LOVE experiencing a good orgasm (who doesn't?), but could you imagine getting one through your foot? Well one 55-year-old woman from the Netherlands gets about five to six unwanted foot orgasms a day. I'm not referring to a tingling feeling through her feet. I'm talking a serious sensation that travels up her left leg and then into her vagina. I hate feet, so I find this extremely gross and awkward. But any man with a foot fetish would certainly love her!

The woman's strange condition is actually not brought on by sexual thoughts. She went to see Dr. Marcel D. Waldinger, a neuropsychiatrist and professor in sexual psychopharmacology at Utrecht University in the Netherlands, and explained how the sensations would begin in the foot, travel up the leg left, and end in a vaginal orgasm. Apparently the feelings all started after the woman had developed a sepsis infection that left her in an intensive care unit for three weeks. She later fell into a coma, and after coming out of it experienced weird tingling and burning feelings in her left foot. Her doctor believes that the orgasms could be a result of nerve damage in the foot.
Dr. Waldinger claims that because of the nerve damage in the woman's foot, her brain doesn't receive sensory information from her foot, but still receives sensory information from her vagina. "The brain could not anymore differentiate between the foot and the vagina. So that it decided that every stimulus coming from the foot was actually coming from the vagina," said Waldinger. She's the only woman on record with this conditon called, "foot orgasm syndrome."
But it looks like she might not have to live with this the rest of her life. The woman was treated with anesthetic injections that were placed into one her spinal nerves that immediately stopped her orgasms from occurring. This particular nerve in the spine receives sensory information from the foot, so injecting the nerve killed the sensations. So far it's been 8 months since she's had a foot orgasm.
I can't even imagine how frustrated and let's face it—physically exhausted this woman must had been with all these random orgasms. Not to mention, uncomfortable too! Luckily, she's finally found a solution to the problem. Only downside is she's probably never going to want to experience an orgasm again. But who could blame her?
