You see, I start each day with a decadent low-cal, protein-packed chocolate smoothie. Over the last decade or so, I've tried countless chocolate smoothie variations. And as different as they each have been, they all have two things in common (besides chocolate): They're all healthy AND delicious! Mexican chocolate breakfast smoothie
Made with oatmeal, cinnamon and banana, this Mexican-inspired smoothie has everything you need to stay full and fueld for the day ahead.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup almond, soy or coconut milk
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Agave nectar, honey, maple syrup or other sweetener, to taste (optional)

Made with chocolate, spinach, bananas, cayenne pepper and lime juice, this smoothie has everything a chica could ever want in a healthy chocolate smoothie.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Milk (Dairy Free (Almond, Coconut, Soya etc.))
- 1 cup Water
- 1 cup Berries (Fresh or frozen, any combination. I used mixed frozen summer berries.)
- 2 Bananas (Fresh or Frozen. I used frozen.)
- 1 cup Oats
- 2 cups Spinach ( Or other mild greens) OR if you run out of fresh greens, add 2 scoops of Amazing Green Powder for an extra healthy green boost.
- 1/4 cup Almonds (Whole or ground (ground if you don’t have a high speed blender))
- 3 tablespoons Cocoa / Carob Powder
- 1/2 cup Raisins, Dates or Date Paste (I used Raisins)
- 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper, Chili Powder or fresh Chili to taste (I used Cayenne Pepper. I like spicy food but if you don’t like it so spicy just add a pinch.)
