With the holidays already in full swing, there's nothing better than having an easy green smoothie recipe to help detox your body from all of those yummy fixings. I recently started juicing and making my own weight loss smoothies, and I have to admit it has made a difference in my skin and stomach area. The secret weapon to this green smoothie is an avocado seed.

As I previously wrote about, avocado seeds contain about 70% of the antioxidants found in the vegetable. They are also rich in soluble fiber, which helps with lowering high cholesterol. The best part of using avocado seeds in your smoothies is that it promotes weight loss results fast and you feel really good after drinking it!
Avocado seed green smoothie
Serves 1
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups of water
3/4 cup of spinach
1 pear
1/2 mango
1/2 avocado seed
3 tablespoons of flax seeds
Handful of ice
Directions:
1. In a powerful blender, process avocado seed first until it reaches powder form. Add spinach, pear, mango, flax seeds and blend smoothie.
2. Add the water and ice, and blend again.
3. Salud! Now drink up!
