If you're familiar with kale, then you know that it has a bitter taste, which is not everyone's cup of tea. However, blending it with the right ingredients will reduce its bitterness and provide you with a nutritious and delicious breakfast, snack or beverage to sip on.
I enjoy mixing my kale smoothies with sweeter fruits such as bananas, pineapples or mangoes, but my absolute favorite is pretty simple. The best combination I've had is kale with coconut milk and banana. It's so creamy and it reminds me of paradise.
Below is the recipe if you would like to try this tropical blend–which I promise you won't regret making!
Ingredients:
1 cup of kale
1 cup of coconut milk
1 medium banana
Half cup of shredded coconut
Ice
Directions: Add ice to blender followed by the washed kale leaves, banana and coconut milk. Blend until smooth, add more milk or ice if needed.
