Horray for berries! These superfoods, which by the way happen to be delicious, are not only amazing as antioxidants and are low in calories, but they have the power to help you and I get rid of the excess fat in our bodies. I don't know about you, but the sound of this is music to my ears.

If not all of them are freshly available throughout the year, there is always some variety at the local supermarket. When I'm deseperately looking for mixed blueberries, I head over to the frozen foods aisle and usually have a choice of different ones. The good news here is that with Spring just around the corner, there will be berries galore (all kinds of them!). When you can get your hands on some, freeze the extra ones and use them later. So get some (or pick some if you prefer), and give this smoothie recipe a try.
Berry smoothie
Serves 1
Ingredients
1 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
1/2 cup of low fat plain yogurt
2 tablespoons of chia seeds
1 tablespoon of natural honey
ice
Preparation
1. Blend until smooth
