Dishwasher cooking seems to be making a comeback. A comeback, you say? Perhaps you are not old enough to know that dishwasher cooking was ever a thing. Well, it's true, there are people who use their dishwashers to cook. One popular dishwasher recipe is poached salmon. Dishwasher cooking enthusiasts wrap their food tightly in foil or a cooking bag, place it in their dishwasher, and then run the sucka without soap. Personally, that sounds like a complete and utter waste of a dish washing opportunity. I am more intrigued by dishwasher cooks that use airtight wraps or containers so that you can cook and wash dishes in your dishwasher at the same time.

I found this video that gives a step by step tutorial on how to make lasagna in the dishwasher. The cook does put soap in her dishwasher and is able to make a seemingly delicious lasagna Florentine while doing her dishes at the same time. Talk about multi-tasking!
This has my brain spinning with ideas like maybe I can make popcorn in my dryer or instant oatmeal in my coffee pot. I've heard of people making grilled cheeses with their irons. The possibilities are endless.
The only problem I foresee with dishwasher cooking for me is that I don't have a dishwasher. Bummer, I feel totally left out of this craze.
