Get the right hangers
When it comes to maintaining a neat and clutter-free closet, proper hangers are key. I recommend buying non-slip velvety hangers that are going to prevent your clothing from falling off, like Huggable Hangers. It’s a small investment that will make a BIG difference.
Add bins
Adding a few bins inside your closet is a great way to neatly store away accessories and other small items. Keep them organized by adding labels.
Hang accessories
Trying hanging on hooks in your closet to help store belts, scarves, and even purses.
Install shelves
Maximize space by installing shelves to organize shoes or store out-of-season items. This can also help preserve the shape of certain clothing like thick sweaters or T-shirts that could stretch on a hanger.
Use shoe boxes
To access your shoes with ease and prevent them from piling up at the bottom of your closet, keep them secured in shoe boxes. I love the clear ones sold at the Container Store.
Hang your shoes
If you have a small closet, a hanging shoe organizer is an easy and practical way to store your shoes.
