One summer, I visited my abuela in Tijuana and every afternoon we would stop whatever we were doing and have pandulce. She would have coffee with hers and I would have Mexican hot chocolate with mine. I loved this daily ritual and one of my favorite indulgences was bread pudding she would get at the panadería. I'm still thrilled to find bread pudding when I visit a panadería and eating it makes me feel a warm comfort from years past.
Lately, I've been thinkiing about bread pudding a lot because I have been buying fresh bread that goes stale before I can eat it all. I've never actually made bread pudding myself and it occured to me that there must be a bread pudding slow cooker recipe out there.
