Dominican fashion designer creates the jeans we’ve all been waiting for

Every woman loves herself a good, flattering, and comfy pair of denims. It's a fashion staple that will probably never go out of style, right? But shopping for jeans can be an ultimate nightmare, regardless of your body type or size. The truth is, not all jeans are created equal, which is why quite a few brands have come out with lines especially for girls with curves. But there's one pair of jeans that claims to complement your bod no matter what and they're designed by Dominican designer Cenia Paredes. We might have just found the solution to all your jean problems.

Jean shopping is hard for everyone, but it's especially a struggle for those of us who are more bottom heavy. If it actually fits and snugs your hips, thighs, and butt, expect the dreaded waist gap. The good thing is that Paredes, who's curvy herself, understands.

"Having a pear-shaped figure (meaning I'm bottom heavy and smaller from the waist up), [meant] I could never find jeans on the market that would fit right as they tend to be big on the waist," Paredes exclusively told MamásLatinas. "There is always that gap at the back waist, and when belted, the fabric bunches up. They also tend to be too low at the back rise due to the more pronounced derrière."

Parades started to notice that she wasn't the only one with this particular jean problem and noticed a lot of women in her community complaining about the same thing. She did some research and discovered that 30% of women regardless of ethnicity are considerably larger at the hips than their waist.

"So I set to solve this problem and developed a jean with two zippered darts at the back waist, making it about 2 inches smaller than jeans on the market," she says. "But since I didn't want to exclude anyone, when the zippers are down, the waist measurements becomes that of standard jeans, and zippers serve as a style detail. So it's convertible!"

This explains how the design literally works for any body type. Genius!

Jeans like Khloe's well-known Good American or even Fashion Nova jeans, affordable stretchy denims loved by a lot of curvy, bottom-heavy celebs don't compare to Paredes' chic and innovative invention.

"My ConVi jean is the only jean on the market with a patent pending adjustable/convertible waist designed in that manner," she says. "It is convertible and it's flattering, no matter what body type or size."

She further explains that between the unique design and the super stretchy, flexible fabric, the jeans ultimately hug in all the right places while concealing areas women are more likely to want to cover. Think chichos or a belly pouch.

Retailing at $99, if the ConVi jeans really do what they promise, the price is well worth it. Consider it a bargain if it's actually able to give you the fit you've always been looking for without the annoying and dreaded waist gap.

You best believe I plan on getting myself a pair of these…maybe two!
