Your nipples might be the secret to finding your perfect shade of lipstick

Finding that perfect nude lipstick can be quite the challenge. It literally took me years to finally find mine (Tarte Lippie Lingerie Matte Tint in Bare).  Apparently there's a trick you can do that doesn't involve testing out a ton of shades. All you have to do is look down at your boobs. Chances are you're saying WTF right about now. But Dr. Travis Stork from the daytime show The Doctors swears by this method.

The secret is your nipples. "We have a great way to pick your best shade for your face. What you want to do [is] you want to match your nipple color. Nature knows best." But before you make a trip to the bathroom, I will warn you though, this tip isn't exactly a win situation for everyone.

I'm not exactly convinced by this theory and apparently neither is celebrity makeup artist Kari Bauce. "Ew, and that's dumb," she told the Huffington Post. "This nipple trick can be useful for [most] skin tones, but not so great for those who are very fair or very dark skinned," makeup artist Elisa Flowers told Refinery29. "Also, the color of your lips and nipples will change with heat, cold and blood flow, not to mention hormone levels. In my opinion, this is more of a loose guide rather than a rule to follow."

Yeah, as much as I don't mind looking down at my own breasts, I think I'll stick to Sephora in-store testing to find my lipstick shade. No need to get nude to find my perfect nude. Feel me?
