You’ll never believe the new method to get rid of stretch marks

Stretch marks are something that happens to all of us, regardless of size, weight, or skin tone. Most of us have them and yet way too many of us feel self-conscious about them. While there has been quite a few empowering campaigns that have encouraged women to embrace and love these little white scars, there are still a number of us who would happily get rid of them if we had the option. That's where Rudolph Torres comes in. The Brazilian tattoo artist has created a technique to help banish stretch marks for good.

Torres has pioneered an exclusive technique that helps create the illusion of banished stretch marks. Here's how it works: He fills in stretch marks that are two to three shades lighter than a client's normal skin tone by using a flesh colored ink that matches the client's skin tone. This results in a camouflage-like effect that makes the stretch marks a lot less noticeable. The before and after pictures on his Instagram account are pretty mind-blowing. It's no wonder he's become an Instagram sensation, look:

But as amazing as this technique may seem, it doesn't come without risks. "The risk is, if [a tattoo] is done by someone who doesn't understand how to [treat skin], you can end up with a scar, and a potentially worse problem, especially in an area that's already thinner and missing some of the essential elements of skin," dermatologist Dr. Doris Day told Fashionista.

That's definitely an important thing to consider but for someone who's really willing to take the risk, Torres' technique might be well worth it. Just make sure to do your research first.
