As amusing as they are, a lot of the makeup challenges on YouTube are more fun to watch than they are practical. The #DollarTreeMakeupChallenge, though, is something we can definitely stand behind. Who doesn't want to save on beauty products? And while $1 makeup can sound scary, beauty blogger @ItsMyRaeRae proved that you really can slay your entire face using Dollar Tree products. That is, if you're actually up for the challenge. You have to see how she did this to actually believe it. It's impressive AF!

"This was a little difficult for me, which is surprising because I started using Dollar Tree makeup first because I couldn't afford any other makeup," she says at the beginning of the video. "I couldn't even afford drugstore [products], or […] I would save up some money so I could get that $12-$15 foundation. But everything else was from the Dollar Tree."

We're not going to say she didn't go through her fair share of challenges trying complete the entire look using only $1 makeup products, but in the end she sucessfully managed to do a look that you'd never guess was this cheap. The results are so impressive.
"It just goes to show, it doesn't matter how much something costs," @ItsMyRaeRae says. "It really matters how you work it. I mean there's some stuff [where] it does matter–don't get it twisted! Especially if you have problematic skin like me. But […] as far as creating a look, if you can just work with what you got, you're good!"
If working with what I got means getting results anywhere close to @ItsMyRaeRae, then I might just give Dollar Store makeup a try.
