Experts agree that the state of your nails speaks volumes about your health in general: if they break easily or don'g grow you may need more minerals or vitamins in your diet. What you may not know is that many things can weaken nails, like your diet, detergents you use to clean your dishes and clothes, polishes, fungus treatment for nails and even the weather.

I can tell you from experience that it's so frustrating–especially because at the end of the day, our nails are a symbol of our femininity and how we take care of ourselves. Luckily I have a great home remedy that helps with nail growth and will prevent them from breaking easily. The best part, though, is that the recipe only requires ingredients that I'm sure you already have in your kitchen: cucumber, garlic and onion. __Home remedy for long, healthy nails
__

__Ingredients:
__-1/2 cucumber, unpeeled
-1 garlic clove
-1/4 of an onion

Preparation:
–Put all your ingredients in a food processor until a thick paste forms.
–Soak your nails in the past for at least 20 minutes, twice a week.
–Rinse with cold water. If your hands are left with a strong smell, wash them with half a tomato or used coffee grounds. Never use abrasive soaps!
–To speed up the process, put one peeled garlic clove in your bottle of top coat or clear nail polish and use it to paint your nails every night. You'll see a difference in a week!
