Curly Qs: 6 Easy summer hairstyles for wet hair

Even with heat-damaged curls (that means limpy, lifeless ends,) I still refuse to blow-dry my hair in this sweltering hot and humid weather. What's the point? All that effort is just going to end up in a big, frizzy mess. But I also don't want to wear my hair down in this heat and plain ol' ponytails aren't exactly cutting it for me these days. Is there any way to style wet hair and still make it look cute?

When I'm hot and have no clue what to do with my freshly washed hair, I simply slick it back into a mid-length bun. Apply a moisturizing formula, like Living Proof No Frizz Leave-In Conditioner ($24) to keep hair sleek and free of flyaways.

Or you can part hair on the side using the end of a rattail comb. Brushing it down flat and apply a lightweight finishing spray, like Ouidad Climate Control Frizz & Flyaway Fighter Taming Shine Spray ($22) to secure the look.

I love high buns because they're easy and effortlessly chic. All you needs is an elastic hair band and some bobby pins and you're all set!

Wet hair tends to have a lot of texture so don't overdo it with the products. Apply a styling cream throughout strands, then pull it up into a high pony making sure to brush down at the roots for a sleek effect. I'd work a lightweight gel too and scrunch the ends. Try DevaCurl Light Defining Gel ($20).
