Ridiculous ads say you’re a man if you don’t shave your legs, WTF!?

It's that time of year when we have to start showing off our legs again. If you laid off using a razor this winter, then you know you're overdue for some maintenance. Popular hair removal brand Veet decided to promote just that during their latest campaign ads. Except it wasn't as well received as they'd liked because it ended up offending women everywhere.

Why? Let's just say it had something to do with comparing them to a man…

To give you an idea of their ads, picture this: A couple laying in bed and the man reacting when he notices his partner's leg is slightly hairy. Lo and behold, the ad shows a man in place of a woman apologizing for her hairiness. You can't help but let out a chuckle, because it's funny!

The other ads also feature a woman in awkward situations such as the nail salon and wearing a sleeveless dress to hail a cab where their hairiness might pose a problem. The ads all end with the same message: "Don't Risk Dudeness," which is upsetting women because, well, the ad is saying you're a man just because you haven't shaved.

Let's be honest, sometimes we get lazy and then things get out of control. It's funny that they use a chubby and hairy guy in the ads, but, c'mon, cut us some slack, Veet! You can't expect us all to be hairless during the beginning stages of spring. I'm sure men don't have obnoxious commercials like this one shaming them for not having a beard or something along those lines. Check out the ads below!
