I might seem like I have myself (somewhat) together beauty-wise now, but this wasn't always the case–trust me! I sported thick, bushy eyebrows and funky hair accessories like the 90s comb headband. Yes, the same headband that was seen at the Helmut Lang's Fall 2014 show during last week's New York Fashion Week, which brings me to my next thought: Is this thing seriously coming back in style? Bandana headbands
Jennifer Lopez made bandana headbands hot back in the day, thank god she left that trend in the 90s.
Crimped hair
Crimped hair wasn't cute then and it's still not cute now.
Chinese hair sticks
These things weren't able to hold my super thick hair. I was never a fan.
Butterfly clips
OMG remember butterfly clips? They were even worse than the comb headband. Ugh!
Gel on baby hairs
I swear every Latina in the 90s was gelling her baby hairs–including me!
Prom-ish ponytails
It didn't matter if it was your Quinceañera or picture day, your mama made sure you had the most dressed up hairstyle ever.
Bantu knots
Remind me again why this was cool?
Blood red hair
Every Latina was rocking blood red hair like it was the new blonde. Never again!
