Whether your hair is curly, wavy, or straight, gray hair is still a pain in the butt regardless. The problem a lot women have is the high maintenance that comes with it. Most chicas I know hardly have time to sit down and have a full meal, forget scheduling regular salon visits. There's nothing more annoying than coloring your hair just to find those grays popping back up a few days or weeks later. Here are a few simple tips to help you cover up those pesky gray pelitos–and fast!

Get highlights: An easy and effortless way to color gray hair is to get highlights. Ask your stylist to put in highlights a few shades lighter than your base. The closer you stay in the blonde family the harder it will be to notice gray growth. FYI: Highlights look amazing on curly hair patterns.

Just do your roots: If highlights seem like too much maintenance for you, consider just coloring the individual gray hairs. Use a shade that matches your natural hair color, rather than having your whole head dyed. You can probably even do this yourself at home!

Try a root touch up: A root-touch up product, like Rita Hazan Root Concealer for Gray Coverage ($25), helps temporarily cover gray roots quickly and easily. It stays put until your next shampoo.

Use a mousse formula: An at-home hair color mousse is super easy to apply. That means no parting or separating. Awesome, right? Simply massage it in like a shampoo and viola! No grays! Try L'Oréal Paris Sublime Mousse by Healthy Look ($10).

Consider a glaze: If you're just starting to go gray, you may want to try a semi-permanent glaze. It helps stain a lot of the gray, and since it washes out with each shampoo you don't have to worry about an awkward root line once the color starts to fade. It also makes hair super shiny and smooth. Try John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Liquid Shine Luminous Color Glaze for All Brunettes ($10).
