The difference between this new collection and the other styles is that it's intended to be seen. While most shapewear is hidden, "Star Power" was designed with different styles ranging from faux leather and suede leggings, to thigh shapers.
The collection also has cute names attached to their designs such as the "Tout and About Seamless Shaping Skirt" and the "Dress to Slimpress" suede titled leggings. I can't tell you the number of women out there who yearn for curves like Jennifer Lopez and now the answer is at their fingertips (the slimming shapewear can be found either online at Spanx.com or at Macy's). I think it's creative how disguised this shapewear is. It would be no surprise to me if other faja lines became inspired by Spanx and start designing similar items.
