I tend to purchase one too many mascaras and I'm never really satisfied with any. I like making my lashes look full and lucious and finding the right volumizing mascara is crucial to creating the look. The issue is many are misleading since the formulas are too sticky, the result look more spidery than glam or the wand overall is not right .

The great thing about Covergirl is that it is cheap and you get more than you bargained for. In this case, their Flamed Out Mascara was great if you're on a tight budget but still want your makeup to look flawless. I liked the brush shape and texture, but I didn't like how the formula weighed down my lashes. My lashes are pin straight and require curling before applying mascara, so this was not very helpful for me. However, if I was looking to give my eyes a quick pop in the morning and apply again later in the day, then this product would be what I reach for.
On the other hand, I tried Nars Larger than Life VolumizingMascara and fell instantly in love. Not only is the wand light and easy to handle, it perfectly coated each of my lashes and kept them looking full all day long. And by all day, I mean it even stayed in place after a rigorous workout. Although $25 might seem like a lot for a mascara, you are paying for the quality and what woman doesn't want voluminous plush lashes?!
In the end I went with Nars. I don't mind splurging a little more if it means having perfect lashes everyday.
