5 Latina celebs who have had their breast implants removed reveal why they did it

In June 2025, Kylie Jenner of the Kardashian-Jenner clan responded to a fan who basically wanted to know what the makeup mogul had done to her breasteses. “Help a girl out @Kylie Jenner 🥺 I just want to know how to get them to sit like that, respectfully 🙏🏼😩,” wrote Rachel Leary in the caption of a TikTok video addressed to Kylie.

Much to Rachel’s delighted surprise, Kylie responded: “445 cc, moderate profile, half under the muscle!!!!! silicone!!! garth fisher!!! hope this helps lol.” And then the ground rumbled and shook as people ran to see if they could get the same thing done to their breasteses because the internet loves nothing more than a trend.

Never mind that Kylie admitted that she regrets getting her breasts done. “I had beautiful breasts. Just gorgeous. Perfect size, perfect everything. And I just wish, obviously, I never got them done to begin with,” Kylie shared on the season three finale of The Kardashians.

And Kylie isn’t the only celebrity that regrets getting her breasts done. There are plenty of others that not only regret it, but have gone through the process of getting their implants removed either because they didn’t end up liking how they looked or because they developed different conditions.

I want to focus on Latina celebrities in particular that have gotten them removed because I’ve always been incredibly uncomfortable with how nonchalantly my fellow Latinas seem to embrace any kind of plastic surgery. Almost like its akin to getting your teeth cleaned, when in reality it’s friggin’ surgery that can lead to all kinds of health issues, some physical and some mental.

Marjorie de Sousa was experiencing all kinds of health issues.

The Venezuelan actress has been incredibly candid about why she chose to remove her breast implants partly because she wants to help other women who are in a similar position. Her breast implants were causing her health issues and removing them has done wonders for her health.

«I feel much more active, I feel more energetic, and most importantly, since I removed them [the implants], my feet haven’t swollen again. I didn’t understand why this was happening to me until I started listening to and seeing many colleagues talking about this topic and decided to take the step,» she shared in a video  posted on social media.

Gisele Bündchen almost immediately regretted getting implants.

In 2015, Gisele decided to get breast augmentation surgery. «I was always praised for my body, and I felt like people had expectations from me that I couldn’t deliver,» the Brazilian supermodel told People in 2018.

«I felt very vulnerable, because I can work out, I can eat healthy, but I can’t change the fact that both of my kids enjoyed the left boob more than the right. All I wanted was for them to be even and for people to stop commenting on it.» Gisele almost immediately regretted her decision and eventually had her breast implants removed because of health issues they were causing.

Adrienne Bailon went from one insecurity to another.

Former Cheetah Girl and co-host of The Real, Adrienne Bailon got implants when she was 19 years old. She asked for B cups and ended up with double Ds and she’s only 4-feet-11. She ended up getting them taken out because she thought she looked “crazy.”

Also, she said the implants made her go from the insecurity of feeling like her breasts weren’t big enough, to the insecurity of feeling like everyone was staring at them. “I was more embarrassed that people knew that I was so insecure that I went and got breast implants,” she admitted on The Real to her fellow co-hosts.

Bárbara Bermudo was diagnosed with ASIA Syndrome.

The journalist was diagnosed with autoimmune/inflammatory syndrome. The symptoms were excruciating at times. After 17 years of having breast implants, she decided to get rid of them and slowly but surely, she is feeling so much better and is using her experience to educate the public so that other women in similar situations don’t have to wait as long as she did to get help.

Carmen Aub decided to remove her implants after 10 years.

The Mexican actress has stated that she does not regret getting implants, but in 2020, she decided to get them removed. For a moment, she considered getting smaller implants, but research on breast implant illness made her realize that she would rather go au naturel.

A note on breast implant illness.

According to Cleveland Clinic, BBI is a «collection of symptoms» that may be related to breast implants. Those symptoms «include fatigue, joint pain, brain fog, and rash. Healthcare providers diagnose BII by ruling out other conditions. Treatment involves implant removal.»

Thank you to these women for sharing their stories.

I think that because they are Latinas their testimonials will go on long way in helping other Latinas make informed decisions. But, as with all things health related, please do your research and speak to medical professionals before making carefully considered decisions that can affect your well-being.
