The 2019 Christmas season has arrived and the White House is already in full celebration mode. First lady Melania Trump shared some gorgeous photos and details of the decorations that were chosen for this year. She unveiled the theme and the decorations are inspired by the "Spirit of America."
"'The Spirit of America' is shining in the White House! I am delighted to share this beautiful exhibit of patriotism for all to see, and excited for everyone to experience the beauty of the #Christmas season!" the first lady tweeted on Monday, December 2.

During these festivities, volunteers headed to the White House to help decorate and bring the spirit of Christmas to Washington, D.C., and the results are wonderful. And judging by the photos the first lady shared, it's definitely beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the White House.
The first lady debuted the White House Christmas decorations on Monday.
The decorations were inspired by the "Spirit of America" and the theme can be found throughout several rooms within the president's residence.
Melania shared more details in a video.
The video followed Melania as she walked through the White House admiring the decorations. Each room was filled with the magic of Christmas and the details are just so mesmerizing.
Volunteers from all over the US came to help.
The first lady thanked the volunteers for their hard work and for making sure it all turned out just right. "Volunteers are hard at work at the @WhiteHouse. Thank you to all who came all across our great nation to decorate the People’s House. Looking forward to view it tomorrow evening! #ChristmasWhiteHouse ."
Red was the color of choice this year.

Each of the rooms they decorated has a different style.
The Green Room is already in line with the Christmas theme, so adding a few trees and some decor just makes it look even more festive.
Even the windows were dressed for the occasion.
Lighted decorations hang from ribbons in each window, and it makes the room look like it's a wrapped gift.
The tree in the Blue Room has a decoration to represent each of the 50 states.
An impressive 18-foot tree was placed in the center of the Blue Room and it is beautiful. The best part is that the paper ornaments each represent one of the states that make up this country.
The Blue Room's fireplace fits the holiday theme.
The fireplace had to get a bit of decoration as well, otherwise it would be overshadowed by that giant tree.

The Red Room looks like it was designed with the spirit of Christmas in mind. From the color of the walls to the furniture, it's really all so beautiful.
Some of the trees had handmade wooden ornaments.
The decorations in the Red Room include many handcrafted items, including a set of wooden dice ornaments. We definitely would like those on our tree!
The main dining room is one of the most breathtaking rooms.
Hundreds of red roses decorate the dining room, and it looks stunning. We wonder how often the flowers will get replaced from now until Christmas Day?
