I'm a huge fan of chef Lorena García. Not only is she Venezuelan, like me, and every one of her recipes that I've tried have been incredible, but she also has to her credit the fact that she's created dishes with Latin American ingredients with her own personal touch. And this pico de gallo is no exception!

Pico de gallo
Recipe by chef Lorena García
Makes 4 portions
Ingredients
2 ripe tomatoes, finely diced
1/2 white onion, finely chopped
1 jalapeño, finely chopped
2 tbsp. chopped cilantro
2 tbsp. (yellow) lemon juice
1/2 tbsp. oil
Salt
Pepper
To make:
1. Mix all ingredients in a non-reactive bowl.
2. Let everything rest until it comes to room temperature and all the flavors meld.
3. Enjoy!
