Sharon Hart of Bolingbrook, Illinois has a pretty awesome 14-year-old son, William, and he obviously loves his mother very much. Hart was at Chicago's Rush University Medical Center for treatment of acute myeloid leukemia. On Saturday, the 48-years-old mom looked out the window and saw a message that her son William had made in the snow on the top deck of the hospital parking lot. The message lovingly stomped in the snow by this caring teen, put a smile not just on his mother's face, but on so many other faces as well. I think it will make you smile too.
Isn't that just the sweetest?! William's original message read, "HI MOM" with a smiley face O. He told the Chicago Tribune, "I wanted to send her the message because I thought it would brighten her spirits and help her get through this. I would love for her to be happy."
After leaving the hospital with his father and uncle, William wanted to add a message for other patients in the hospital, so the three of them went back up to that cold parking lot roof with the intention of adding the phrase, "God Bless U All," but they ran out of room and wrote, "GOD BLESS U" instead, doesn't matter they still made lots of people feel blessed.
William says that as they pushed the snow around with their feet, they saw people gathering at the hospital windows cheering and taking photos. He says, "It was very cold out there, but I didn't care. I wanted to get it done and let people see it. It's amazing because just to see people feel happy feels good."
This kid is awesome. I have a feeling that after this he will find other ways throughout his life to spread joy. How wonderful is that?
