Plastic surgery is very popular in Miami. Everywhere you turn there's a spa or clinic that performs everything from liposuctions, to tummy tucks, breast implants, and butt lifts. But what many women don't know is that many of these places aren't legally licensed to perform these jobs. They're also using mysterious chemicals that aren't even medically approved. Can you freaking believe that?
One woman by the name of Camila decided to get her butt injected in New York but immediately after, started to notice a bruise on her right butt cheek that wouldn't go away. The bruise started to expand all over her butt and she even started to experience inflammation along with very high fevers.
"They [doctors] didn't understand what was going on. They couldn't find an infection. They would take my blood every morning. They did a biopsy … but they found nothing," Camila said. But the fever still wasn't going down. She finally decided to go to Miami to see Dr. Rafael Antun, a surgeon who's known for helping patients with cases like hers.
Dr. Antun believes that the injections Camila received were not medically approved substances but instead liquid plastics that were imported into the states illegally. He claims that these dangerous chemicals normally come from countries like Venezuela, Colombia, and Brazil and are many times brought over like "hair products."
They are usually injected in the patient's home, in salons, or spas, where there aren't doctors, antibiotics or anything in case of an emergency. So if an emergency does occur, the patient could die immediately.
I don't know about you, but this is enough to convince me to stay away from butt injections for the rest of my life! I'm not saying I'm totally against plastic surgery, but these serious risks just don't seem worth it to me. If anything, PLEASE at least do your homework first! Vanity is not worth your life.
