When it comes to celebrities, or anyone with a sizable net worth, prenuptial agreements are the norm. But not all rich and famous pairs sign one before saying “I do.” In fact, Salma Hayek recently revealed that she and her billionaire husband, François-Henri Pinault, have no prenup at all.

Salma, 58, and the French businessman, 62, met in 2006 at a gala in Venice, Italy. In 2007, they welcomed their daughter, Valentina. The couple married in a civil ceremony at a city hall in Paris on Valentine’s Day 2009 before having a second ceremony with friends and family that April.
The actress recently opened up about her finances.
During an interview with The Wall Street Journal published on October 29, Salma opened up about her finances.
“I support a lot of the aspects of my life and myself,” she told the publication. “I have the pressure to make a certain amount of money, and I like it.”
Salma added, “And now, I decided, I want to make more.”
Salma also revealed that she and her husband do not have a prenup.
The Frida actress also made a surprising revelation during her sit-down with The Wall Street Journal. Evidently, Salma and François-Henri “keep their finances separate.” There is also “no prenuptial agreement dividing assets” for the billionaire and Oscar-nominated star, according to the publication.
Both François-Henri and Salma have sizable net worths.
Although François-Henri has much more money than Salma, they both have respectable net worths. The French businessman is reportedly worth a whopping $7 billion, according to Celebrity Net Worth. Meanwhile, Salma’s net worth is estimated to be approximately $200 million, as of writing.
Previously, she addressed critics who accused her of marrying for money.
In 2021, Salma was a guest on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, and she addressed rumors that she was a gold digger.
“You know, when I married him, everybody said, ‘Oh, it’s arranged marriage, she married him for the money,'” she told Dax, per Today. “I’m like, ‘Yeah, whatever, b—-, think what you want.’ Fifteen years together, and we are strong in love. And I don’t even get offended, I’m like, ‘Yeah, whatever.'”
Salma recently shared that her family had to drag her to the courthouse to get married.
In February, Salma spoke with Glamour about how her family essentially staged an “intervention” for her courthouse wedding.
“I don’t think I ever told this story. No, they just took me to the court. My parents, my brother, they were all ganging up on me. I had a phobia of the marriage thing,” she told the publication. “They dragged me there.”
Salma added, “It was because I had said yes to the marriage, but I just wouldn’t actually show up on the day or do it. And then afterward I said, ‘Oh, it’s OK. I don’t feel any different.’ And then a little bit later I said, ‘OK, this is kind of exciting.’ And he’s like, ‘Can we have a party now?'”
In April, Salma shared photos from her wedding day.
In April, Salma posted photos on Instagram to mark her and François-Henri’s 15th wedding anniversary. “There are no words to explain the blessing of finding your soulmate,” she wrote. “For all of you who found it, never take it for granted. For all of you who haven’t, never give up #tbt to one of the best days of my life.”
