This woman isn’t afraid to show her post-weight loss excess skin & good for her!

It's easy to find drastic weight loss and fitness influencers on Instagram showing off their tight cores and their toned booties, but what we don't see a lot of is women candidly opening up about the excess skin that comes with dropping 100 or more pounds. That's why body positivity blogger Jessica Weber's Instagram is so refreshing. She shows followers a hidden side to losing weight that's not talked about enough.

More from MamásLatinas: Recovered anorexic turned body positive activist proves that beauty isn't a size

Jessica has been documenting her weight loss journey on Instagram, sharing everything from before and after pics, healthy meal pics and more. But what she's also not afraid to share are pictures of the loose and excess skin she's developed since losing 180 pounds.

"This is my reality! This is my life!" she captioned one of the pictures. "When you lose 180 pounds, the skin doesn't just suck back up! I have been learning to deal with it, even with wanting to lose a bit more weight and have surgery! This is my life until then and I will not hate my body anymore!"

Excess skin after drastic weight-loss is definitely a normal part of losing weight, but because it's not glamorous not enough people talk about it. It's important to let women know that this could happen throughout their weight loss journey and that it's not something to be ashamed of.

"I'm still learning to love my new body and this journey that I am on!" she captioned another photo. I do not want to keep looking at how much I have to lose and thinking that when I reach my goal I'll be in love with myself again! This journey is about enjoying it every step of the way and that includes sharing my life with all of you to inspire you and help in any way!"

Jessica's account isn't just brave, but it's inspiring because it proves that we don't have to wait until we reach our goals to love ourselves. We can still love and be kind to ourselves through the journey and that's what it's really all about.
