We've always known that real women have curves, but rarely do you see curvy images sprawled on lingerie ad campaigns. Lane Bryant is changing all of that and celebrating real women's bodies! The clothing store recently launched the #ImNoAngel ad campaign to promote their new line of intimate wear by Cacique. I love that the marketing campaign is clearly giving Victoria Secret an "in your face" snub due to their lack of representing diverse body types. I can't get enough of this inspiring ad and I know you'll feel the same!

Shot by photographer Cass Bird, the powerful ad campaign features Sports Illustrated model Ashley Graham along with Candice Huffine, Elly Mayday, Justine Legault, Marquita Pring and Victoria Lee. All of the women look so beautiful! I truly believe this is a gamechanger in the market. I don't know how many times I've spotted Victoria Secret ads that have made me question why I decided to eat that burrito bowl with extra cheese during lunch.
As a woman, those VS ads cut at your self esteem a bit and leave you feeling like you have to juice for a week to reach this impossible beauty standard. The Lane Bryant ad shows women who are empowered and celebrating their beautiful shapes. "How borning would it be if we were all the same?" brillantly asks one of the models. This is my point exactly!
It's also awesome to read the positive reactions on Lane Bryant's Instagram. One young girl writes, "I [feel] so accepting of myself. You guys rock and once I'm old enough to wear lingerie I'm sure I'll get some from you." That's so powerful!
I'm glad our youth can grow up with positive depictions of body image. Our curves are beautiful. Punto.
