It was Friday evening September 12 and 7-year-old Jayden Allen-Walton was at the kitchen table having dinner with his mother, Michelene Bumbrey. Michelene hadn't been feeling well all day. She says, "I prayed to God to give me a little bit of energy to fix him dinner, because this is our routine–when he comes home from school, we sit down and have dinner together." As the two were sitting at the table, Michelene's blood pressure took a dangerous drop which caused her to pass out and fall off her chair. Her head hit the floor and made gashes on her forehead and lip. While she was passed out and bleeding on the floor, Jayden turned into a superhero. I kid you not, this child saved his mother's life.

Jayden used his mother's iPhone to call 911 and get her the medical attention she needed. He also got in touch with his godmother to let her know what was going on and ran to a neighbors house for help. Then he went back to his mother and watched over her until paramedics arrived.
Michelene says, "My blood pressure bottomed out. I could have died if the ambulance didn't come." To give you an idea of how serious Michelene's condition was, she ended up spending five nights in the hospital and was diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, which can make your blood pressure drop when you stand. Scary!
I'm so impressed by Jayden. At only 7-years-old he was able to keep his cool when his mother inexplicably passed out before his eyes and started bleeding after hitting the ground.
