5 Cute cartoons to teach your kids Spanish

If you're raising bilingual kids, cartoons are a fun way to expose them to Spanish. Since I don't let my kids watch a lot of TV, I am very selective about the programming I do give them permission to watch. I actually bought a couple of DVDs of the cartoon version of El Chavo del Ocho and that's how I introduced my kids to the lovable characters I grew up with. They loved it!

My daughter used to love watching these cartoons when she was little! Never understood why they called them mellizas when it's three of them, but it's still super cute.

Who didn't watch the Smurfs growing up? My kids have watched the movies in English, but I've also introduced them to the cartoon in Spanish and what a hit!

Caillou is a cartoon from Canada that's originally in French, but you can easily find the Spanish version on YouTube and I'm sure your little ones will enjoy watching this little boy as much as mine do.

My kids adore Clifford! We've read the books and watched so many of the videos and they always come away with some kind of great lesson that we talk about way after the show is over.
