Sunburn: You're relaxing on the beach when you accidentally dozed off and then woke up looking like a lobster? It's happened to the bet of us. Pop a couple ibuprofen as soon as possible to reduce swelling and apply aloe or a soothing after-sun mist to calm the skin. You can also try applying a chilled towel to your skin for ten minutes to reduce inflammation.

Mosquito bites: As tempting as it is, try to resist scratching as it'll only make your bites worse. If the area is inflamed, try icing it before taking an antihistamine like Benadryl. If the bites are minor but irritating, try soothing the skin with an after-bite healing balm.

Peeling skin: Nothing is worse than flaky skin after a burn. Get rid of it fast by gently exfoliating with a plant-based scrub (nothing too abrasive or it'll inflame the skin), then apply an extra moisturizing lotion. And remember: to avoid in the future, apply sunscreen religiously!

Summer breakouts: Applying sunscreen is crucial, but it can cause breakouts on some. Try washing with a salicylic acid twice a day to help combat acne. To prevent more breakouts, use a lighter, oil-free sunscreen that won't be as heavy on your skin.

Dry and calloused feet: It's summer, so of course you want to wear your cutest sandals, but you're in dire need of a pedicure and have no time to go get one. For a quick fix, try soaking your feet in a tub of water for a few minutes to soften the skin and then use a foot file to scrap any dry skin or callouses away. Finish off by applying a moisturizing cream!
