Big round of applause to a fast thinking daddy from North Carolina. His name is Paul Dupree. Paul happens to be a trained paramedic. So last week Paul is driving his very pregnant girlfriend, Erin Castro, to the hospital in Lincoln County because she was in labor. Uhhh, I bet you can guess where this story is going, no? Yup, there was no way they were going to make it to the hospital in time, especially when Castro said, to Dupree, "I think the head is out!" So Dupree went into action and saved the day with his mad skills.

He pulled over into the parking lot of a Jack and the Box and got himself a small fry, not not an order of small fries, but his own little small fry baby. He called 911, put the phone on speaker, and delivered his own daughter by following the dispatcher's instructions.
Oh and just to further complicate matters and make the situation border on the slightly terrifying, the baby was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck. Dupree said, "We had to manuever her a bit to get the cord untangled and once I got the cord untangled and once I got the cord untangled I used my shoestring to tie the cord off," said Dupree.
Congratulations to Dupree and Castro on their brand new baby girl, Harper Lynn! A big high five to Erin on giving birth with no pain medication in a very unusual location and again another round of applause for Paul because he is already showing excellent parenting skills under pressure.
