Travis Scott arrested and charged with disorderly intoxication and trespassing in Florida

Travis Scott has experienced his fair share of controversies. Through the years, he has had multiple lawsuits and arrests, and has been accused of inciting violence at his concerts. Rumors of the rapper cheating on his ex, Kylie Jenner, with whom he shares two kids, have also swirled. And fans won't soon forget the 2021 Astroworld tragedy resulting in 10 deaths and hundreds of concertgoers injured in a crowd surge.

Unfortunately for Scott, he was again in headlines for another run-in with the law. The 33-year-old Houston, Texas, native was most recently arrested in Florida on Thursday, June 20.

Travis Scott was arrested on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing in Florida.

At 4:35 a.m. local time, Scott was booked in Miami-Dade County, Florida, People reported. The rapper, whose legal name is Jacques Bermon Webster II, was charged with disorderly intoxication and trespassing on a property after a warning.

What happened leading up to the rapper's arrest?

Police reportedly responded to a call at a marina near Miami Beach, where they found Scott arguing with occupants on a yacht, per TMZ. Officers escorted Scott from the yacht and back to the street, where the rapper had a ride waiting for him. After telling police that he was "gonna catch a fade" if he got into the car, Scott got inside and was driven away.

Why was Scott arrested, exactly?

Allegedly, he returned five minutes later and attempted to return to the yacht. Police intercepted the rapper, and he allegedly became "erratic and belligerent," TMZ reported. That's when he was arrested.

Not long after his arrest, the rapper was released on bond.

Shortly after Scott's arrest, he was released on bond, per People. He paid $650 — $150 for the disorderly intoxication and $500 for trespassing. A mugshot of Scott started circulating online mere hours later.

The rapper seemingly reacted to his mugshot and arrest on social media.

On the morning of June 20, just hours after his arrest, Scott took to X (formerly Twitter) to seemingly react to the news. "Lol," he wrote simply with no elaboration.

Additionally, Scott posted an edited version of his mugshot on Instagram.

On top of his nonchalant X update, Scott took to Instagram with a more direct response to his arrest. The rapper posted an edited version of his mugshot on his Instagram Story. He added sunglasses and headphones to the photo with no commentary.
