Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's youngest child Psalm West turned 5 years old on Thursday, May 9. As you know, Thursdays aren’t a great night to host a child’s birthday party what with it being a school night and all. That’s probably why Kim waited until Saturday to host an epic Ghostbusters-themed party for her not-so-baby boy. I’ll tell you what, I’m sure that Psalm ended up thinking it was worth the wait.

Kim always goes all out when it comes to her kids’ birthday parties—she shares all four of her children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm with ex-husband Ye. Still, the woman seems to outdo herself every single time. Check out what she put together for Psalm's birthday celebration to see what I mean. I would say it’s even better than his firefighter-themed party and his Hulk-themed party.
Her 'baby' is five!
Kim took to her Instagram Stories to share what everything looked like at the Ghostbusters-themed party before guests arrived. The way she wrote "My baby is 5 " got to me because I've been there, felt that.
Guests were greeted with an elaborately decorated entrance.
The entrance was decorated with bright green balloons, caution tape, oozing barrels of toxicity, and a cutout figure of the birthday boy himself dressed as a Ghostbuster.
Saint wasn't impressed by the cutout version of Psalm.
As Kim was filming right before the party started, she showed the cutout of Psalm at the entrance and said, "Look at how cute Psalm is" and her eldest son, Saint, just had to say, "It doesn't really look like him." Kim sounded a tad annoyed as she responded, “Oh, yes it does Saint, come on."
Further in there was another Psalm cutout.
This cutout had a speech bubble that urged guests to "Grab your proton pack!" Proton packs are energy-based ghost capturing devices that no self-respecting Ghostbuster would be caught without.
The proton packs hung on the wall under each guest's name.
Every guest got their own proton pack, which appear to have been put together especially for the event by Mindy Weiss Party Consultants. I imagine the proton packs were each filled with party favors.
The decorations were everywhere.
Kim thought all the decorations were "cute" and she's not wrong. The attention to detail was amazing. A slime cutout decorated an arched window with the Ghostbusters logo below. It all looked very legit.
Of course there was a slime making station.
It would have been a missed opportunity not to have a slime station set up. Not only do kids love making slime, it's just so on theme for this particular party. And the slime was green because that's what it's like in the movie.
That slimey Slimer was everywhere.
That toothy gelatinous ectoplast monster known as Slimer was all over the place, even on the snack table. He's so gross, but I guess that's the point. Hopefully, the sight of him did not affect anyone's appetite.
Speaking of food!
There was plenty of food to be had. Including some rather offputting slimey nachos. They featured green nacho cheese to go with the theme. I'm sure they tasted like regular nachos, but they looked pretty icky.
Thank goodness the curly fries looked normal. As a lover of curly fries, I would hate for them to be tampered with, however, I would be OK with dipping them in some green-tinted ranch dressing.
There were so many sweets!
Many of the sweets seem to have come from Cake Gourmet Sugar Service. These cones and cookies were just a couple of the many sugary treats on hand. I'm sure the kids loved them.
Take that Stay Puft Marshmallow Man!
How funny are these Stay Puft Marshmallow Man s'mores? I love the expression on the little man's face. He's not only puft, he's pissed. I guess it is a very undignified way to meet your end.
You knew there had to be a fancy cake.
The cake was spectacular and even featured a skyline. Not the kind of cake you would find at a grocery store or Costco, for sure. Nope, this was a made to order kind of masterpiece.
And in case you were wondering, there was a piñata.
I wouldn't be surprised if there was more than one piñata on hand. But, I do know there was at least one because Kim shared a snippet of Saint trying to bust one open while other kids played in some kind of water feature in the background.
Looks like it was a very fun party! Can't wait to see what she does for Psalm's sixth birthday party.
