Those familiar with the beef between Taylor Swift and Kanye West remember when the rapper interrupted the pop superstar during her acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV VMAs. Years later, Kim Kardashian and Ye released an edited recording of a private phone conversation with Taylor, causing the "Shake It Off" singer to be canceled online. The full convo was ultimately released in 2020, proving all along that Taylor was in the right. But the damage was already done.

Judging by Taylor's new song calling out Kim, the "Bad Blood" singer still hasn't let that betrayal go. The pop star's diss track has already had real consequences for the Skims mogul in the form of losing more than 100,000 Instagram followers. Let's take a closer look at the fallout.
Fans suspect Taylor's song 'thanK you aIMee' is about Kim.
On April 19, Taylor released her highly anticipated 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department. Track 24, titled "thanK you aIMee,' has widely been interpreted as a Kim diss track. Not only do the only capitalized letters spell out K-I-M, but Taylor also references a "bronze spray-tanned" person. Lyrics from the track read: “Everyone knows that my mother is a saintly woman / But she used to say she wished that you were dead."
Kim has lost more than 120,000 followers since Taylor's new album dropped.
Whether or not Taylor intended for Kim to be perceived as the subject of her song, the track has already had real-life consequences. The Kardashians reality star has lost more than 100,000 Instagram followers, Page Six reported. And that's not all.
Swifties have taken to Kim's Instagram comments in droves to write, 'thanK you aIMee.'
In addition to Kim's' IG bleeding followers, users have flooded her comments. Swifties bombarded her with messages of "thanK you, aIMee!" Basically, every recent post of Kim's has been overwhelmed with "aIMee" references.
Many are calling for Kim's momager, Kris Jenner, to step in.
As Kar-Jenner fans already know, Kris Jenner manages her kids' various business ventures. Fans have called for the momager to step in and assist Kim with her current PR nightmare. “Kris, you need to help Kim. why you being quiet. Work that magic on this TayTay drama, girl,” one person wrote in Kris' comments, per Us Weekly.
Another fan commented: “Me just waiting for Kris to spin this Taylor beef into a new Skimms collection or something. Y’all wait."
So far, neither Kim nor any member of the Kardashian-Jenner family has addressed the diss track.
As her followers continue to drop and the "thanK you aIMee"' comments pour in, Kim has not addressed Taylor's diss track. Ignoring negative press has been a Kar-Jenner strategy for years, so this move isn't shocking. However, the sisters do strategically clap back at critics. So perhaps a public response to Taylor's song is yet to come.
