Fans of Sofía Vergara and Joe Manganiello were shocked when the couple announced their divorce in July 2023. The Modern Family actress and Magic Mike actor were married for seven years—practically a lifetime by Hollywood standards. Now, less than a year after the split, Joe has reportedly moved in with his girlfriend, Caitlin O’Connor.

Caitlin also happens to be an actress. She has appeared on a number of TV shows, such as Two and a Half Men, Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, and Ray Donavan, as well as films like Addicted to You and American Satan. On February 13, sources close to the couple told TMZ that Caitlin and Joe are living together. It’s unclear where they are currently living, but they are rumored to be “relishing every moment of” the experience. Joe’s dog, Bubbles, reportedly approves.
They are reportedly ‘very much in love.’
Joe, 47, and Caitlin, 34, are reportedly “very much in love,” TMZ reported. Since they started dating, the couple has bonded over their shared Pittsburgh roots. They’ve traveled to Pennsylvania city together and have embarked on trips to Italy and New York City.
How did Joe and Caitlin meet?
Joe and Caitlin reportedly met at a post-premiere party for her HBO drama Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty. They attended the party in August 2023, and met in a hot tub. "They were talking the whole time," an insider told People in September. Romance rumors started flying after they were photographed leaving a gym together that month, per Page Six.
They went public with their relationship in December 2023.
Since Joe and Caitlin started dating, they have attended a handful of public events as a couple. They went public with their romance at the Children of Armenia Fund Gala at Cipriani in New York City in December 2023 (pictured above). And in January, they attended the Art of Elysium's 25th Anniversary HEAVEN Gala at The Wiltern in Los Angeles.
Joe filed for divorce from Sofía in July 2023.
On July 17, Joe and Sofía released a joint statement published by Page Six. "We have made the difficult decision to divorce," they shared. “As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”
Why did Joe and Sofía break up?
Joe and Sofía's split came down to their disagreement over children.
“My marriage broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids and I didn’t want to be an old mom,” Sofía told Spanish newspaper El País, reported CBS News. “I feel it’s not fair to the baby.”
She continued: “I respect whoever does it, but that’s not for me anymore. I had a son at 19, who is now 32, and I’m ready to be a grandmother, not a mother.”
