A man is lucky to be alive today after he accidentally fell through an industrial sized woodchipper. YES, a woodchipper! The 23-year-old Washington man, Frank Arce, was retrieving a piece of wood stuck in the machine while it was off when his co-worker accidentally turned it on causing him to fall in.
His body was crushed and shredded in the accident, but he miraculously lived to tell the story!

Arce who works for Swanson Bark and Wood Products was doing a routine cleanup on the machine when it turned on and left him badly injured. He suffered seven broken ribs, a broken knee, a broken pelvis, collapsed lung, shattered ankle, bruised liver, permanent nerve damage, and other gashes that covered the entire length of his body. If this doesn't sound bad enough, he was conscious throughout the WHOLE thing. He was taken to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.
He even managed to remain calm after the accident when he had to wait for an ambulance to come and get him. He says he thinks guardian angels were watching over him. "There's no way I should be here right now," he said from his hospital bed during an interview with CBS News.
Due to the severity of the injuries, it is unclear if Arce will be able to walk again and he is expected to remain hospitalized for at least three weeks. Although his fate is unknown, his mother says the main thing that matters is that he is alive.
This story is just plain bananas! There is no way this man could have survived this accident without some divine intervention. The average person would have died, which means to me that he was given a second chance for a reason. I'm glad to see that Arce and his family are overall in positive spirits, but I hope that doctors have good news for him regarding his recovery in a few weeks.
