From the very begining of my parenting journey I have struggled to get my kids to go to sleep. During the day, they are delightful, wonderful human beings who inspire me and make me want to be a better person, then as soon as bed time rolls around they become evil anti-sleep operatives determined to crush any hope of rest and relaxation that I may have. Honestly, the whole bedtime routine thing and my inability to create a successful one for my children leaves me feeling like a tired failure many a night. I'm always open to suggestions of what I can do to help my kids fall asleep, pleasantly, and willingly, so when I come across the photos that Casey Carey-Brown shared on Instagram of how her daughter, Riley, puts herself to sleep, I felt inspired and I think you will be too even if you are not in the market for a kids' nighttime ritual.

Carey-Brown blogs at Life with Roozle. Roozle is Riley's nickname. Roozle is an adorable 4-and-a-half-year-old with impressive drawing skills. One night when Roozle could not settle down, but her parents wanted her to stay in her room, Carey-Brown handed her two crayons, a clipboard, and some paper and it appears that Roozle has been drawing herself to sleep ever since. Okay, the pictures that Carey-Brown has shared of the bedtime activity are totally AHHH-inducing. You have been warned and you should most definitely look at them because this kid is cute and has skillzzzzz-z-z-z-z.
Roozle, you are adorable and I love your artwork. Casey Carey-Brown, thank you for sharing these wonderful family moments with us, now could you please come over to my home around my kids' bedtime with a handful of crayons, 2 clipboards, and paper? Please.

Detailed work
I'm telling you it's not every 4-and-a-half year old that would have this kind of attention to detail when coloring.
