You hear of babies being born in unexpected places, but how often do you hear of a baby born in a parking lot whose father was also born in a parking lot? I'm thinking not very often. That's why the story of Hannah Grace Mary Pavlik, a baby born in Illinois on Saturday, is so extraordinary. This little cutie could not wait until her mom got to the hospital so she was born in the parking lot of a gas station in southwest suburban Oswego. Here's the thing, she was born just one day before her father's 33rd birthday. Guess where he was born? You only get one guess.

Frank Pavlik, Hannah's father, was born on August 18, 1980 in the parking lot of the Louis Joliet Mall. Can you believe that? Crazy, right?!
Hannah's mom, Erica Pavlik, was being driven to the hospital by her mother. Before they knew it, Erica's water had broken and they had to pull over into a gas station parking lot where grandma had the honor of helping her daughter deliver the baby before paramedics even had a chance to arrive.
Both mother and daughter are well. Hannah Grace Mary Pavlik was born weighing 6 pounds, 3 ounces.
Daddy made it to the parking lot just in time to ride to the hospital with his wife and new baby girl. I'm thinking Daddy and daughter need to celebrate their birthdays in parking lots from now on. Hannah's family is considering a parking lot tailgate party for her first birthday. I love it!
