The internet falls in love with 7-year-old girl with autism & her “broken” cheeseburger

A 7-year-old girl's day was made after employees at a Chili's restaurant in Midvale, Utah recently repaired her "broken" cheeseburger in a heartwarming act of kindness that has since gone viral.

Arianna Hill was apparently out for lunch with her older sister__, Anna MacLean__, when the incident occurred. According to MacLean, Hill had been looking forward to eating the cheeseburger she ordered. But problems arose when the burger came to the table already cut in half. You see, Hill has autism and likes things a certain way. To her, the cut burger was "broken" and so she refused to eat it.

In order to try and mediate the situation, MacLean called a waitress over and explained the situation as best as she could. What happened next though will surely bring a huge smile to your face.

MacLean told the server why Hill was't eating and asked her to add a new cheeseburger to the bill. Instead, waitress Lauren Wells, personally apologized to Hill for bringing her a broken burger and assured her she'd bring a new, "fixed" one for free.

"I don't really expect people to understand these special requests," said MacLean. "I just told her to charge it to us and she said, 'No way.' "

As if that wasn't kind enough, the manager of the restaurant then also stopped by the table to apologize for their mistake. By the time the new burger was brought back out, Hill was so happy that she began kissing it over and over again. Touched by the staff's understanding compassion, MacLean snapped a photo of her little sister giving the burger a peck and uploaded it to Chili's Facebook page. In the caption, she included the whole moving story. The post has since gotten more than 30,000 comments, more than 131,000 shares, and more than half a million likes.

Aww, what a sweet story! Doesn't hearing this just renew your faith in humanity? It's so nice to be reminded that there really are some good people in the world who will go the extra mile simply to make someone's day a little brighter. I hope more companies take note and follow the example of these kindhearted employees that so willingly took a few minutes out of their day to make a young girl happy.
