Snooki needs to get over herself and breastfeed her baby!

When I first heard that Chile-born reality TV star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi was going to have a baby, I was a little shocked, considering her drunk partying antics on MTV's Jersey Shore. But, surprisingly enough, she's actually been having a pretty responsible pregnancy so far. She's stopped tanning and is refusing to have even one glass of wine, which I really admire.

But then I heard that she's afraid of breastfeeding and I'm here to tell her one thing about that: GET OVER YOURSELF. This is not about you, girl. I know that you're used to being able to do whatever you want but you need to stop acting like a baby because, well, you're having one instead. Life is no longer about you, it's about taking care of your child and doing what's best–which definitely includes breastfeeding!

Seriously, I do NOT understand any woman that is "afraid" or freaked out by the thought of breast feeding her child. Actually, let me clarify that a bit: I am disgusted by any mom who thinks that there's something wrong or gross about breastfeeding.

Snooki is apparently going around saying that she's afraid because her friend said that breastfeeding was painful and she's comparing it to "kind of like you're a cow and you're just milking". Um, yes, in fact that's exactly what it's like. Cause, guess what Snook, cows breastfeed! In fact, as far as I know, mammals breastfeed. And, well, we human beings are mammals so I consider breastfeeding pretty much the most natural thing in the world. So, please girl, just GET OVER IT and make sure you breastfeed that baby of yours.

Now, I'm not gonna lie and say that there aren't things that freak me out about pregnancy and childbirth. I'm not exactly thrilled about the whole changing diapers thing. Is it bad if smelly little butts freak me out a little? But I know that I am going to have to get over all of my issues quick because raising my kid right is going to be my #1 priority. Maybe that's just how my mami raised me but I do NOT think it's OK to avoid doing something for your child because it freaks you out. You're having a baby, Snooki, so you're going to have to get used to these things.
