Kourtney Kardashian's 5-year-old son just got his first haircut, and the reality star has all the feels. Young Reign has sported long locks pretty much his entire life. He's the youngest child of Kourtney and Scott Disick, and it seems up until now, they've all been cool with growing his hair long. The kid has great hair, so why not?

Apparently, now was the time, though. Over the past few months, Reign's thick mane has grown way past waist length, and in the most recent photos of him, he's often seen wearing it in a bun. That is, until Tuesday, when Kourtney shocked her social media fans with a shot of Reigny with a brand-new buzz cut. That's right, not a trim or even just a shorter haircut…Reign's hair has been totally buzzed.
Here he is.
It's unclear whether 5-year-old Reign asked for his hair to be cut or Kourtney just decided it was the right time, but either way, they went all in. Reign's formerly long, dirty blond locks have been shaved completely off. He's almost bald now! He was super cute with the long hair, but he definitely looks more grown up and totally adorable with his new cut as well.
Reign's hair was average as a baby.

Reign's hair was pretty much a normal length when he was an infant and young toddler. The length wasn't anything exceptional, but it did seem to grow really quickly after his first birthday, though. He went from shaggy baby fuzz to a top knot seemingly overnight.
The top knot debuted when he was a toddler.

By the time Reign-Reign was 2, his hair was growing to great lengths, and he was oftened photographed with it in a top knot. At that age, most kids are still holding onto some baby hair if they haven't yet had their first haircut. From the looks of the sides of Reign's hair at that age, it seems like Kourtney was trying to avoid cutting his hair by gathering the wispy flyaways up top.
And it endured...
As Reign grew up, his hair continued to grow longer and longer. Over the years, he's continued to wear it in a bun often, but his hair was obviously growing thicker and longer all the while. Kourtney and Scott always seemed to keep it well-maintained, though, and little Reign totally pulled off the look.
There were always critics.
Regardless of how handsome Reign looked with his long locks, Kourtney and Scott have both dealt with criticism on social media over their choice to keep his hair long. Followers would often leave comments like "look like a girl with that hair." Reign's parents didn't let that influence their choice, but Kourtney has been quick to clap back.
Don't mess with mama bear.
Even though Kourtney has decided to quit Keeping Up With the Kardashians, she still shares a ton of her family life on social media, and of course her followers think that means that her kids and anything else she posts about are fair game. But Kourtney makes no qualms about defending her littles. Among other instances, this past spring one follower commented on a post featuring Reign with, "Bruh cut your son hair…smh." Kourtney's response? "Most gorgeous hair on Earth. Anyone who says otherwise ABCDEFG."
So Reign's new look was pretty surprising.

We know Kourtney loved her youngest son's hair, so it was definitely a shock when she debuted his newly shorn look, first sharing the shot of Reign sporting his fresch cut in her Instagram feed and then sharing a close-up of his lopped-off braid on her IG story. Kourt captioned the first post with, "I am not ok," but later replied to a commenter saying, "I love it." As moms, we can totally relate! Watching your littles grow up and change is at once heartbreaking and wonderful.
