The couple shared a text post in lieu of a photo and even shared their baby's adorable name. The note read: "We are so happy, blessed and grateful to begin this new decade by announcing the birth of our daughter, Raddix Madden."

The couple both shared this text post with the baby news:

The new parents are set on protecting their baby's privacy.

Celebrity parents have recently been choosing to protect their baby's privacy by not sharing or posting photos of them. While many famous moms and dads love sharing their adorable babies' pics, Cameron and Benji will not be doing so. They also said they won't be sharing any more information about their child, adding: "We won't be posting pictures or sharing any more details, other than the fact that she is really really cute!!" We bet!

This is the actress's first child.

Cameron is joining a long list of celebrity moms who have lovingly welcomed children after 40. It was reported in January 2018 that the actress would "love to be a mom" and that the couple was trying to have a baby and had undergone everything from IVF treatments to acupuncture. “It just hasn’t worked out yet," a source told Us Weekly at the time. "They don’t know exactly what it will look like, whether it will be natural or through adoption or surrogacy, but they aren’t giving up. It’s been a roller coaster of emotions, yet they still believe there will be a happy ending.”

This isn't the first time the couple surprised the world.

They got married in January 2015 in a surprise ceremony at their home Beverly Hills, California, in front of 100 friends and family. The couple dated for eight months before saying "I do." They started dating after meeting through Nicole Richie, who is married to Benji’s twin brother, Joel Madden.
