It's hard to believe but Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's little boy is now 5. The couple welcomed their first child into the world on May 6, 2019. Shortly after that, the proud parents started sharing pictures of their adorable little fella. Every time a new photo of Archie comes out—and they're rare—we are so here for it. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's lives have changed so much since Archie's arrival and so has Archie's—he became big brother to Princess Lilibet Diana on June 4, 2021.

Archie's parents announced their departure from royal life in 2020 and their last day as senior members was at the end of March that year. Soon after, the royal couple relocated and started a new life in California.
We love the few pictures of Archie that are out there so much that we've started our own scrapbook of sorts for this darling boy. We'll keep adding to it as more photos become available so that we can all enjoy watching him grow before our eyes. Check out our favorite pictures of little Archie so far.
We got to see some sweet images of Archie in the Netflix docuseries.
The Netflix 2022 docuseries Harry & Meghan included some beautiful pictures and videos of Archie, like this black and white photo where he sits on his mom's lap and intently looks at the book that she's reading to him.

The family's 2021 holiday card was beautiful.
The image on the card was taken by Alexi Lubomirski and was the first time a picture of Lilibet was shared with the public. The message on the card reads:
"Happy Holidays
"This year, 2021, we welcomed our daughter, Lilibet, to the world. Archie made us a ‘Mama’ and a ‘Papa’, and Lili made us a family. As we look forward to 2022, we have made donations on your behalf to several organizations that honor and protect families — from those being relocated from Afghanistan, to American families in need of paid parental leave."
In a blink he turned 2!
Sweet little Archie turned 2 years old on May 6, 2021, and the royals dropped a brand-new portrait of the adorable toddler. While we didn't get to see his face in the photo of him chasing a giant balloon bouquet, we did get to see that he's now sporting the cutest mass of curly hair.
He has father's intense stare down already.
Look at Archie's face! Just before his second birthday, someone caught a rare candid shot of Meghan and Archie that made it clear just how fast Archie was growing out of babyhood. He has the same intense and slightly mischievous stare as his father.
Archie was adorably chunky in the latter half of his first year.
Archie really filled out throughout his first year of life. Look at all that adorable baby chub! He has long legs and arms, too, so he'll probably end up being tall like his father, Prince Harry.
He brings his royal dad so much joy.
Although Prince Harry has been open about his mental health struggles, his son Archie clearly brings him a tremendous amount of joy. This photo was shared by the royals themselves as part of a New Year's montage video in 2019.
This adorable video was to celebrate Archie's first birthday.
As part of an initiative with Save the Children, Meghan filmed a video reading to her son that was shared on the organization's Instagram page. "Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex reads 'Duck! Rabbit!' for Archie's birthday," the caption read. "'Duck! Rabbit!' with Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex (and Harry, The Duke of Sussex behind the camera), read to their son Archie for his 1st birthday. Happy Birthday, Archie!" He's so darn cute!
The couple shared this pic for Archie's grandpa's birthday.
This photo of Harry and his son with Prince Charles, who is the little one's grandfather, is so beautiful. The couple shared the black-and-white photo on their Instagram page in November 2019. "Happy birthday to His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales – Sir, Pa, Grandpa! ," they captioned the gorgeous pic.
Meghan was spotted carrying her little one.
The mom and son supported dad Harry in the King Power Royal Charity Polo Day at Billingbear Polo Club in July 2019. He was so tiny here! This was one of his first outings after his birth, and we love how good motherhood looks on Meghan.
When Archbishop Desmond Tutu kisses your baby on the head, it's kind of a big deal!
Even for a royal baby, getting a kiss from South African archbishop and Nobel Peace Prize recipient Desmond Tutu was a big deal. The late Archbishop Tutu was 88 years old at the time, and although Prince Archie may not remember this moment when he gets older, he will always have this picture to treasure.
What does a royal baby wear to meet a legend?
Well, Archie opted for overalls to meet Archbishop Tutu, who was "a globally respected figure in anti-apartheid movement, is one of the world’s great champions of equality, and has spent his life tirelessly battling injustice." The archbishop died in 2021.
Just look at that face!
Can you blame Desmond Tutu for wanting to give this cutie a kiss? I mean, just look at that face! He's looking a lot like his papa in this pic. We think Archie looks like a such a curious and playful child.
Archie's got his eyes on the prize.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex brought their son Archie along to their meeting Archbishop Desmond Tutu at the Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation in Cape Town, South Africa, during their trip in September 2019. Archie looked so calm and focused on the sweets in front of him.
Archie opted for much fancier attire when he was christened.
On July 6, 2019, "Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was christened in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle at an intimate service officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby." He was looking all kinds of fancy on that occasion. Overalls just wouldn't have been appropriate.
Archie's immediate family on his special day.
Doesn't this photo give you all the feels? The way that Meghan is looking at Harry while holding their newborn is just magical. The little one was surrounded by family and showered with love on the day of his baptism.
Archie's first Father's Day!
Archie was less than 2 months old when he celebrated his first Father's Day with his daddy, Prince Harry. How sweet is this picture of father and son? The Sussex Royal Instagram page shared the pic with the caption: "Happy Father’s Day! And wishing a very special first Father’s Day to The Duke of Sussex!"
On Meghan's first Mother's Day, we were gifted with this picture.
Meghan Markle was born in America, and in honor of her first American Mother's Day, this picture of Archie's tiny little feet graced the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's Instagram feed. Archie was only 6 days old on Mother's Day.
This is from when we all found out Archie's name!
Posted on May 8, 2019, two days after the baby was born, this picture was shared with the caption:
"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are pleased to announce they have named their first born child: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. This afternoon Their Royal Highnesses introduced Her Majesty The Queen to her eighth great-grandchild at Windsor Castle. The Duke of Edinburgh and The Duchess’ mother were also present for this special occasion."
The family’s first public moments.
Just two days after Meghan gave birth, these pictures were shared on Instagram with the caption:
"Today The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are delighted to share their first public moment as a family. They are so incredibly grateful for the warm wishes and support they’ve received from everyone around the world, since welcoming their son two days ago."
Can we all for a second be astounded by Meghan Markle?
When this picture was taken, she had just given birth two days earlier. She looks amazing! Yes, we know that there are perks to being a royal and that she has help looking that great, but still.
Do you think they changed out of those clothes immediately?
The duke and duchess opted for light-colored clothing for their first public photos as parents, which is kind of dangerous considering how messy parenting a newborn can be. Do you think they immediately got into their royal jammies once they got back to their private quarters?
