Khloé Kardashian defends spoiling True with ‘material’ things after being mom-shamed on IG

It is clear__Khloé Kardashian__ is a doting mother to her 15-month-old daughter, True. All you have to do is scroll through Khloé's Instagram feed to see how much she dotes on that little girl. Khloé showers True with plenty of love and because Khloé happens to have money, she also showers True with toys and material objects that many of us cannot afford to give our own kids, like the toy Bentley car that Khloé got mom-shamed over after posting a video of it on Instagram.

This week, Khloé posted a sweet video of True in what appears to be a pink sparkly toy Bentley with white faux fur carpet. True looks like a doll in it and the video is really sweet. Yes, the toy is not cheap, but so what? It's not like True knows what the car cost and since when does anyone get to determine how much someone can spend on their child? But it never fails that whenever Khloé posts anything about True, the mom-shaming ensues. This time, Khloé handled it with class, as you will see.

First let's start with Khloé's original post.

True is sitting in the toy car looking all kinds of adorable. She seems mesmerized. Note that the little lady is wearing her seat belt. Well done!

Now, details about the car.

The car is made by a company called Luxury Kids Cars Club, which sells what it calls "ultra exclusive cars for kids." The starter package price for the model that True has is $1,999.

On its website, the company thanks the Kardashians, Vogue, and People for supporting its business. As you can see from the pictures, True is not the only child in the family who has one of these rides.

Here's how the mom-shaming exchange started.

The Instagram account Comments by Celebs captured the interaction between a mom-shaming Instagram user and Khloé. We have to say that Khloé could not have handled it better.

The mom-shamer wrote, "Great, another Kardashian in a Bentley. You guys are so oblivious to how your excessive spending looks to the outside world. I really loved your family’s story and now just can’t bear to watch as you spend all this money on worthless materialism. It’s so sad." OUCH!

Imagine how surprised he must have been when Khloé responded with, "Ummm you know this is not a real Bentley? It’s a toy…no reason to get sad over a baby in a toy car. Either way, I’m sorry that you feel that way and have a great weekend. Focus on things that make you happy! Smile!"

She could have gone low, but she didn't. She kept the comment positive. Khloé's class rubbed off on the mom-shamer because he came back at her with a decidedly different tone than his first comment. "Appreciate your responding," he wrote. "Just figured it’s something to be thinking about. You have so much influence and know you’ve had a positive impact on so many. Always ways we can improve as people though–myself 100% included."

But Khloé got the last word.

She wrote back, "I appreciate this! I can digest what you have to say because of how you stated it. I hear you. I personally don’t believe that all we ‘do is spend money on worthless materialism.’ I’m not here to prove what I do or don’t do. But what I can say is that I’m able to look myself in the mirror and sleep well at night. I’m able to do that because I know I’m a good person, and life is all about balance. Yes I do choose to spoil my daughter." Khloé went on to say she is also raising True "with values, responsibilities, chores, respect, self love."

Also, let's get one thing clear.

Having money and spending it on your child is not a crime. Just like not having much money to spend on your child is not a crime, either. Good parents do the best they can with what they have.
