They all sat in the audience and A-Rod shared a clip of the moment Jen and the Puerto Rican crooner started singing along to Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You," which the kids were performing in the background. Everyone seemed to be at peace and happy–and that's proof that parents can put their differences aside for the sake of their kids and become true co-parenting goals.
Alex shared a clip of both Jen and Marc passionately singing the hit song.
At first, J.Lo appears in the clip looking as gorgeous as ever with a big smile, and then A-Rod turns the camera to his right and Marc can be seen also singing along to the track. Look how happy they all seem! The former Yankee captioned the hilarious clip: "Those who can, do. Those who can’t, sit between two people that can and stay quiet! #imnotasinger."
People flooded the comments with messages of support and saying they're an example for other parents.
Fans and even celebrity friends like Tommy Mottola gave them all shout-outs for their awesome parenting skills. Fans gave them credit for their maturity and making sure they show a united front for the kids, because that's what it's really all about in the end. "This actually melted my heart! It’s all about the kids, the only thing that matters!! Kudos to them!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ ," one fan commented. "Seriously – parenting goals for a blended family ," another one wrote. Another fan made a solid point: "Y’all are supposed to be recording the kids!! Lol! But I LOVE seeing the co-parenting effort! #forthekiddos."
Alex takes his stepdad duties seriously.
The former MLB athlete shared a photo of the performance's program and highlighted that Max, Marc and Jen's son, was going to have a solo during the show. The little one was going to be singing "You're Still the One" by Shania Twain. Jen shared the image on her Instagram account and wrote: "Proud parents."
Jen also shared this super adorable pic of her son.
OK, how cute is Max is in this little cowboy hat? Jen and Marc's kids are quickly shaping up to be quite the stars. We've seen Max perform at a play before and his sister, Emme, recently made headlines when she belted out an Alicia Keys song perfectly in one of her mom's YouTube videos. The kids are full of mega talented genes, so it comes as no surprise that they are often seen center stage during their school events.
The parents are setting a great example to their kids.
Even though Marc and J.Lo divorced in 2014, they have continued to be friendly and put their children first. Alex and Jen have been dating since 2017, and in 2018 they shared a family photo with Marc during their daughters' dance recitals. It's so important that the kids grow up seeing that parents have stayed united, no matter what went on in their relationship. Kudos to the parents!
