Khloe Kardashian appeared on Ellen for her first on-air interview since announcing she was pregnant on December 20, and finally revealed why she chose to wait so long to make the announcement.

Most people thought the news would come in an episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians, but Khloe affirmed that it wasn't at all the reason she waited so long to let the world know that she's expecting.
Her real reason is totally understandable.
Khloe is six months pregnant and just made her Instagram annoucement two weeks ago. She told Ellen, "I just wanted to do something myself and write something that was heartfelt for me," and that she wanted to wait until she felt comfortable. I mean that's pretty much how we all feel, right? And honestly, I feel like most major celebs these days wait until they're like 20 weeks pregnant before making it public.
Despite rumors she managed to hide her pregnancy for months.
Early pregnancy can be a scary time–and also a very special time–so I'm sure there are a lot of mixed feelings for celebrities who are always being scrutinized by the public. Plus, it's her business–every woman, every couple, is entitled to wait just as long as they please to share such personal news. But, can you imagine how much effort it takes? Early on, you could totally see how self-conscious Khloe was trying to hide her bump in public.
She got pretty good at covering up.
By around November, Khloe was pretty good at covering her belly. Her oversized hoodies and giant green Birkin made more than a few appearances in the month before she announced. Whatever works.
But before long it became pretty obvious.
But by December, it seemed like oversized clothes and bags just weren't cutting it anymore. In one of her many trips to and from LAX, she was spotted utilizing a golf cart to get to her plane. Makes sense, especially since she also told Ellen that walking from her dressing room to the set of the talk show made her lose her breath.
It must be such a relief to be out of hiding.
Khloe is all smiles now though. She must feel relieved not to have to hide any longer. She's been sharing lots of adorable shots of her baby bump on IG and even her pregnancy workouts on Snapchat. So cute!
Now we need to know...
Is Kylie's announcement next? The rumors of her being pregnant have been going on even longer than Khloe's. Ellen tried to get Khlo to fess up, but she expertly evaded that line of questioning. I guess the media training the Kardashian-Jenner family underwent last year paid off.
