20 Celebrities who had to deal with child support drama

While divorces and breakups are already difficult to deal with, sometimes things get even trickier when children are involved. For some celebrities, splitting from a significant other only means that a long custody and child support battle was on the horizon. While most famous people make significantly more money than regular people, having to pay thousands of dollars a month is still not easy for anyone. That doesn't mean that not paying is an option. After all, the money is meant to go toward the children's needs.

Celebs and their exes have often battled it out in court to figure out which amount is acceptable, as well as figuring out whether or not they'll have joint custody of their babies. Things have gotten messy for some who refused to pay and for others who totally neglected their children.

Thankfully, the law is the law. And it holds both parents responsible for making sure their kids are always taken care of no matter what. Some stars have taken their child support drama to social media for the world to see, while others have had the public be totally involved in their court proceedings through the media's reporting.

Either way, having people give their opinion about your situation and having the court decide how you should deal with your children must be tough. Some parents never stopped fighting when it comes to their kids, while others have headed back to court to dispute the monthly payments–which have been astronomical for some. From Marjorie de Sousa and Julian Gil's super public disagreements to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's private legal disputes, check out these celebrities who've had to deal with child support drama.
